GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO) has confirmed that it has chosen Locus Robotics which has earned a reputation as the leader in autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for fulfillment warehouses, as the main AMR technology to back high-volume order fulfillment for a large sports-fashion retail company in the U.K. and Netherlands.

GXO stated that this collaboration underscores its continuous commitment to rolling out new logistics solutions that leverage sophisticated technology to meet increasingly complex fulfillment difficulties. Its products are known for their customization, adaptability, and scalability, and the Locus AMRs help it make warehouse space even more economical for its customers.

Furthermore, GXO has implemented 65 Locus Robotics AMRs at their facilities to suit its European retail customer’s accelerated development. By reducing wasted walking time and reducing the physical demands of dragging heavy pick trolleys, the LocusBots improve order fulfillment productivity.

When compared to standard piece handling systems, Locus Robotics’ groundbreaking multi-bot solution includes strong and intelligent autonomous mobile robots that work jointly with human workers to dramatically boost piece-handling productivity 2–3x with less labor. In 2021 Locus Robotics positioned 428 on the Inc. 500 and was chosen as Forrester’s AMR Company of the Year.

Additionally, Locus’ novel multi-bot approach, flexibility, scalability, and quick ROI are assisting GXO in constantly exceeding their global clients’ expectations, said Rick Faulk, Locus Robotics’ CEO. With this installation, GXO will be able to accelerate its operations for the client as they expand into new markets and reach a larger audience.
