International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE: IBM) confirmed a multi-million-dollar investment in its resources to provide support to businesses for preparing and handling the increasing threat of cyberattacks to businesses across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The new IBM global analysis disclosed that Asia is now the most targeted region for cyberattacks, accounting for 26% of attacks explored in 2021.
The cornerstone of the investment is the new IBM Security Command Center. New IBM Security Command Center is the first of its type in the region. It will be used to educate cybersecurity response strategies using extremely realistic, simulated cyberattacks, to prepare everyone from the C-suite to technical personnel.
Using the IBM Cyber Range Design consulting team, the IBM Security Command Center in Bengaluru can offer customized experiences that are targeted to enterprises' particular security requirements and objectives. The type of training which is being provided to the businesses includes Operation Red Escape, Cyber Wargame, and Ox Response Challenge.
Furthermore, the investment also included a Security Operation Center (SOC). This investment will be part of IBM's current global SOC network, which provides security response services to clients all over the world 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Managed Security Services (MSS) will be provided by IBM's new Security Operations Center (SOC) to clients all around the world. It is the second IBM SOC in Bengaluru, with a capacity of 600 security response operators, with the other SOC continuing to support regional Indian clients.
