International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE: IBM) and Comviva which is the global leader in mobility solutions have disclosed that they both have partnered to provide their next-generation BlueMarble solution on the IBM Cloud for Telecommunications. The combined solution shall power the digital revolution for Communication Service Providers (CSPs) worldwide in the 5G and Edge era.

This partnership is consistent with Comviva's parent company, Tech Mahindra's NXT.NOW charter aims on investing in new technologies and solutions that enable the digital revolution and evolving needs in the 5G age. Tech Mahindra is a member of IBM's partner ecosystem, working on the IBM Cloud for Telecommunications to help network equipment providers, independent software vendors (ISVs), software-as-a-service providers, and hardware partners unravel the power of 5G and edge to accelerate business transformation.

Furthermore, this partnership’s goal is to enable Tech Mahindra and IBM to build a standards-based combination of new Telco solutions with clients' current systems leveraging TM Forum APIs enabled on IBM Cloud for Telecommunications. Comviva's BlueMarble solution deploys these APIs to help allow agile adaptation, as well as the ability to fulfill specific client needs, such as integrating solutions from IBM and its partner ecosystem.

In addition, the BlueMarble solution can combine with IBM's Sterling Order Management to provide an option of billing solutions to clients. BlueMarble of Comviva is now available on IBM Cloud for Telecommunications. It allows CSPs to upgrade their business infrastructures without the need to follow lengthy and complex modernization cycles.
