Alphabet Inc’s (NASDAQ: GOOGL) Google disclosed Monday that its payment Chief Caesar Sengupta has resigned from his position. The payment head has decided to resign from the internet company after 15 years. He was among those who had played an important role in the roll-out of Google pay in India.

He has also helped the firm relaunch the payment app in Singapore and the US. Currently, almost in 30 countries, nearly 150 million people are using this app. During his tenure in the firm, he has led various other initiatives in the firm. His initiatives in the internet firm include Next Billion Users, Google Pay, and ChromeOS.

Google representative wished him good luck for his future journey as he was a valuable member of the firm. The payment head said: “I remain very optimistic about the future of Google but it's time for me to see if I can ride without training wheels.”

He has disclosed that he is planning to start a new mission after his long journey has come to an end with Google. He has gained recognition outside the firm for guiding the firm Next Billion Users unit, a project to make internet and services more available to users in developing markets.
