Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX) has confirmed the grand opening of the Calix India Development Center (CIDC) in Bengaluru, India. Bengaluru has garnered attention for appealing to the top talent Calix needs to develop the next generation of solutions that are revolutionizing the broadband industry.
The 21,000square-foot facility will facilitate Calix’s next phase of hypergrowth by expanding research and development (R&D), commercial operations, and marketing. Calix chose Bengaluru, dubbed “India’s Silicon Valley,” as the location for its new development center because of the city’s position at the heart of India’s information technology.
The CIDC will place a strong emphasis on growing the development teams for the award-winning Calix Cloud platform. Calix Cloud is the industry’s only purpose-built platform that enables BSPs of all sizes to readily access real-time data, analytics, and automation to run a more efficient and subscriber-centric business. By the end of 2022, Calix hopes to have doubled the initial CIDC staff.
