Nutex Health Inc. (NASDAQ: NUTX) has announced the opening of two new micro-hospitals that are fully functioning. Nutex micro-hospitals place a priority on providing a superior patient experience. Its hospitals have quick ER wait times, averaging 15 minutes from the moment patients walk in the door to the time patient see a doctor, high-quality care, reduced nurse-to-patient staffing ratios, and speedier discharge times.
Nutex Health Inc., based in Houston, Texas, was launched in 2011 as a physician-led, technology-enabled healthcare services firm with over 800 physicians and roughly 1500 staff nationwide. The company is divided into two divisions: hospital and population health management. The hospital division is responsible for 21 hospitals in eight states.
The first hospital, New Braunfels ER & Hospital, is in New Braunfels, Texas, situated about 30 miles northeast of San Antonio. The innovative facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and features an emergency room, nine private exam rooms manned by board-certified physicians, and four private inpatient beds. The hospital treats both adults and children and boasts innovative imaging and laboratory technology, such as CT, X-Ray, and ultrasound, as well as speedy radiological reports.
East Valley ER & Facility, the second hospital, is situated in Gilbert, Arizona, about 21 miles southeast of Phoenix. The innovative hospital is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and features an emergency room, 14 private exam rooms, and 14 private inpatient beds. The hospital offers adult and pediatric care, as well as innovative imaging and laboratory technology such as MRI, CT, X-Ray, and ultrasound.
Nutex now plans to open three more sites in 2022, with a total of 17 facilities under development or in the planning stages for completion in 2023 and 2024. There is no guarantee that these extra amenities will open on time or even at all.
