Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ: GRMN) disclosed that it has bought the prominent supplier of emergency surveillance and response services, GEOS Worldwide Limited, and its units. GEOS Worldwide runs the International Emergency Response Coordination Center (IERCC).

The highly-trained response arrangers of IERCC have handled more than 83,000 emergency incidents around the world since 2007. Those incidents involving more than 5,000 SOS cases that have been created by Garmin customers.

This acquisition has allowed Garmin Ltd to strengthen its position and fulfill its commitment toward its customers of providing them a safe and secure lifestyle. This all would be possible after the addition of IERCC in the family of GRMN.
