AMTD International Inc. (NYSE: HKIB) and AMTD Group disclosed that the unit of Xiaomi Corporation, Airstar Digital has decided to invest in AMTD Capital. AMTD Capital is the unit of AMTD International.  Previously, AMTD Capital has acquired authorization by the Chinese watchdog to act as a foreign-invested investment management firm in Hengqin.

A unit of Airstar Digital, Xiaomi Finance has entered into a strategic deal with AMTD International. As per the contract, Airstar Digital will invest in new shares to holds 49.87% of AMTD Capital. Furthermore, the VP of Airstar Digital and Ex- CEO of XW Bank, will join the Board of AMTD Capital. Moreover, AMTD Capital will also be retitled as AM Capital.

Shares of AMTD International Inc. (NYSE: HKIB) went up 36.55% at $6.50 during the trading session of Friday. In the past 52-week of the trading session, its share wavered $4.26 and $16.53 from its 52-week of low and high range.

AMTD International has a total market capitalization of $$1.59 billion at the time of writing.  AM Capital is the second business level equity co-investment and partnership between AMTD Group and Airstar Digital, after the collaborative founding of Airstar Bank.
