(NASDAQ: WING) which has earned recognition as the award-winning wing concept with more than 1,700 locations worldwide, confirmed its entry in Spain with the imminent launch of four ghost kitchens in Madrid. Wingstop hopes to attract new customers in Spain by presenting a unique marketing proposition centered on flavor. To kickstart Wingstop's presence in Spain, the first two Kitchens will open on March 31, 2022, in Madrid. They are being launched to market in collaboration with a kitchen logistics partner. The third is expected to launch in early April, with the fourth set to open in the summer. These four eateries will jointly reach flavor enthusiasts across nearly all of Madrid in a delivery-only manner. This is the first step toward a broader footprint in Spain, which Wingstop sees as a crucial growth area.

Furthermore, Wingstop in the UK has launched 16 new restaurants in the last two pandemic-affected years. It has also received the Deliveroo's Restaurant of the Year award. The company also has average unit volumes of over USD 2 million which is more than Wingstop's home market in the United States. The UK has effectively garnered a young, urban, and devoted client base demonstrated the brand's attractiveness, and created a runway for expansion.

Additionally, Wingstop says it can open 7,000 locations worldwide, including 3,000 of them outside of the United States. EMEA is an essential part of the company's global expansion plan, with new markets in the Middle East and Western Europe being pursued. Wingstop plans to expand in countries where it has previously debuted, such as the United Kingdom, which has been a big success story for the company.
