Progressive (NYSE: PGR) Finalizes Acquisition of Protective Insurance

The Progressive Corporation (NYSE: PGR) disclosed that it has finalized the acquisition of Protective Insurance Company (NASDAQ: PTVCA and PTVCB). Under the terms of the agreement, the owner of Class A and B of Protective will be entitled to get the $23.30 per share in cash.

Protective Insurance Corporation (NASDAQ: PTVCA and PTVCB)has disclosed that it has signed an acquisition pact with The Progressive Corporation (NASDAQ: PGR). Following the agreement, The Progressive Corporation will buy Protective Insurance for nearly $338 million.
