T-Mobile US, Inc. (NASDAQ: TMUS) and T-Labs, Deutsche Telekom's research and development division, have revealed the six winners of the T-Challenge. T-Challenge is a six-month international competition for startups, developers, and designers to submit innovative research and solutions intended to transform retail with 5G and Extended Reality (XR) technology.

The six winners were among a group of 19 finalists who traveled to Bonn, Germany, to present their ideas to executives from Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile US. Nearly half a million dollars in prize money will be split between them. With XR, T-Challenge gives TMUS a view into the future, and the company is waiting to watch these entrepreneurs take their concepts to the next level.

6 Winners of T-Challenge

For their idea that uses Augmented Reality to change the product purchase experience, Team Graffiti from Marseille, France earned first place in the "Solution Development" category. Golem Digital from Graz, Austria, won the "Concept and Design" category for their concept of ByeByeQ, which uses XR to allow customers to connect with remote consultants in stores, reducing wait times.

Furthermore, in the "Solution Development" category, SightCall from Frankfurt, Germany, and DeepBrainAI from Seoul, South Korea, came in second and third, respectively. In the "Concept and Design" category, Code University from Berlin, Germany came in second, while Yona from Cologne, Germany came in third.

T-Mobile stimulates innovation and helps grow the 5G ecosystem with several projects, using America's largest and fastest nationwide 5G network as the basis. The T-Mobile Accelerator, a program focused on developing innovative 5G solutions, is Qualcomm Technologies' Snapdragon SpacesTM XR Developer Platform's lead 5G launch partner in North America, working with developers and startups to create head-worn AR applications for education, gaming, sports, and entertainment.
