STMicroelectronics N.V. (NYSE: STM) has disclosed that it has signed an agreement with YTO Group Corporation to set up a joint laboratory. The lab will be founded in the Research Institute of Intelligence and Information Luoyang, Henan province. STMicroelectronics and YTO Group aimed to focus on the research and development of electronic solutions for vehicles, engines, and agricultural control in tractors.
The Research Institute of Intelligence and information of YTO focus on three main agriculture-machinery applications including harvesters, agricultural equipment, and tractors. ST and YTO are combining their expertise to meet the needs of industries and government.
