Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX) disclosed that it has decided to participate once again in the CES 2022 event to present its mounting driver and interior surveillance solutions for the automotive industry. The company has also decided to present a growing portfolio of vision systems, dimmable devices, connectivity, and touch solutions for a variety of industries.

The company’s goal is to offer carmakers complete interior monitoring solutions, from simple driver observing to complete cab monitoring and car smell. The company is creating an end-to-end and mountable platform based on strong sensor fusion techniques that will allow it to offer functionality for modern vehicles as well as temporary and fully autonomous vehicles.

Gentex's CES display will also highlight its competence in digital vision. The business will demonstrate innovative features for its industry-leading Full Display Mirror (FDM). The system takes video from the backside camera and transmits it to a one-of-a-kind, in-mirror LCD, giving the driver an unrestricted spectacular view of the vehicle's back end.

Furthermore, earlier in September, Gentex had acquired Guardian Optical Technologies which is an Israeli startup that had created a high-resolution infrared-sensitive camera that combined machine vision, depth sensing, and micro-vibration detection. This proprietary sensor design enables the process to evaluate the behavior, motions, and actions of not only the driver, but also the entire vehicle interior, items, and passengers.

In addition to this, the company has acquired Vaporsens which has developed nanofiber chemical sensing technology capable of monitoring interior air quality and pinpointing potential airborne contaminants in January 2021 to further grow its business portfolio and its capabilities.
