EVgo, Inc. (NASDAQ: EVGO) and Toyota Motor North America, Inc have revealed that they both have inked an agreement to offer drivers of the new Toyota bZ4X battery-electric SUV with complimentary charging at EVgo’s countrywide network of public fast chargers for one year. EVgo is looking forward to providing an exceptional customer experience for Toyota's bZ4X drivers right out of the gate, and this transaction demonstrates partners' trust in the quality and size of its charging solutions.

Toyota is the latest major manufacturer to join with EVgo as a charging infrastructure provider, with the two companies working together to incentivize and accelerate EV adoption in the United States. EVgo's rapidly expanding public charging network can charge all types of electric vehicles in convenient places that fit into people's daily lives.

Furthermore, as per the partnership between the two companies, customers who buy or lease a new Toyota bZ4X in 2023 can use the Toyota App to get a year of free charging at all public fast-charging stations in the EVgo network, as well as find nearby EVgo charging stations and start charging their vehicles.

In addition, EVgo's network includes over 800 public fast charging spots and over 1,200 L2 charging stalls spread over 68 metropolitan regions in 35 states. It allows drivers to move and power their vehicles up to 80% in under an hour. More than 130 million people in the United States now reside within 10 miles of an EVgo fast charger. EVgo is intending to deploy roughly 16,000 fast charging stalls by 2027.
