Century Aluminum Company (NASDAQ: CNEX) has confirmed that some of the servers that underpin its global operations have been compromised. The Company acted immediately by closing down all compromised information systems. The company also has activated internal response protocols and mobilized both internal and third-party professionals to tackle the situation as soon as feasible.

Furthermore, the company confirmed that there has been no meaningful effect on its global production thus yet. Moreover, the firm disclosed that where manual processes and procedures are required, it has converted to them and continues to function securely. While it attempts to resolve the problem, it has restricted access to certain external information systems. It will keep you updated when more information becomes available.

Additionally, Century Aluminum Company confirmed that Craig Conti has decided to leave the Company to be closer to family and chase other opportunities. The decision is valid till March 1, 2022. Mr. Conti entered the Company in July 2018 as Executive VP and CEO. After Mr. Conti’s resignation, Michelle Harrison, the Company’s Senior VP, Finance and Treasurer, will take the responsibilities of the principal financial officer while the Company carries a search, both internally and externally, for a replacement.
