Azure Power Global Limited (NYSE: AZRE) has disclosed that it has successfully commissioned its largest project- 600 MWs Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) connected solar project, assigned by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). Azure Power has authorized this project in phases, with the last 100 MWs commissioned this month.

After this, Azure Power has 2510 MWs of high-performing operational solar assets spread across the country. The project is in Bikaner, Rajasthan and the power generated from the project will be delivered to SECI at a tariff of INR 2.53 per kWh for 25 years. This is considered to be the largest solar power project in India, maintained and run at a single location by any developer.

Furthermore, Azure Power disclosed that it is an amazing way to begin the new year. Since this project was commenced around the start of COVID-19 in India, the company has witnessed several problems during lockdowns and safety issues.
