Accenture plc (NYSE: ACN) confirmed that it has finalized the acquisition of AFD.TECH. AFD.TECH is an independent network services company specializing in network engineering, operations, and services. Earlier, on December 15, 2021, Accenture disclosed that it has decided to buy AFD.TECH.

Accenture will gain more than 1,600 highly experienced staff, as well as interdisciplinary capabilities in engineering, design, deployment, and operation of next-generation networks like 5G and fiber, as a result of this transaction. When combined with Accenture's Cloud First capabilities, the newly acquired knowledge would provide clients with a broad range of proven techniques, operational excellence, and human effort to enable them to execute holistic transformation across their various networks.

Furthermore, Accenture's network operations skills in Europe would be strengthened by the purchase of AFD.TECH, which comes after the acquisition of Arca in November and umlaut in October 2021. The acquisition would be contingent on customary closing conditions and would require prior engagement with the relevant works councils.

Previously, Olivier Girard, Accenture's market unit lead in France and the Benelux shared views about the acquisition of AFD.TECH. Olivier stated that the integration of the latest technologies such as 5G, cloud, and next-generation IoT is evolving the way businesses operate across all industries by creating possibilities for new services and new sources of growth.

Olivier Girard further added that companies must act now to embrace the correct strategy and establish innovative business solutions supported by network investments to thrive in their digital transformation and realize its full potential. Accenture would gain a considerable presence in sophisticated mobile and enterprise networks as a result of this transaction.
