Accenture plc (NYSE: ACN) confirmed that it has decided to buy Allgemeines Rechenzentrum GmbH (ARZ). Accenture's cloud-based banking platform-as-a-service capabilities, which include everything from core banking to online banking and regulatory services for banking clients across Europe, will be expanded as a result of the acquisition.

Accenture will increase its staff in Austria as a result of this purchase, and it will establish a comprehensive center of excellence in Innsbruck to serve its clients in Austria and across Europe. The company is excited to welcome the ARZ team to Accenture, as they have the experience and talent to help it expand and fulfill the demands of its banking clients now and in the future.

Furthermore, Volksbanken Group and Hypobanken Group, as well as other private banks, own the bulk of ARZ. ARZ maintains a technology competence center for innovation and technology services in the banking sector in Austria, with facilities in Vienna and Innsbruck. Accenture will take over ARZ's approximately 600 workers, who will continue to work in their current facilities in Vienna and Innsbruck.

Accenture's most recent acquisition in the banking business is ARZ. Accenture bought Exton Consulting, a French consulting firm that helps financial sector clients across Europe with banking strategy. Accenture has made a strategic investment in Imburse which is a cloud-based, payments-as-a-service enterprise platform that makes it easier for businesses around the world to join the global payments ecosystem, through Accenture Ventures.
