PTC Inc. (NASDAQ: PTC) and ITC Infotech have decided to expand their 20-years partnership as both the companies have confirmed that they have inked an agreement to speed up customer digital transformation initiatives, focused on the implementation of PTC’s industry-leading Windchill product lifecycle management (PLM) software as a service (SaaS).
As per the agreement, ITC Infotech will purchase a portion of PTC’s PLM implementation services business and merge it with PTC’s PLM professional services expertise to form DxP Services which will be a new ITC Infotech business unit. Together, the two firms will provide “in-flight” Windchill implementation services to a wide range of existing PTC clients, as well as enable a growing number of customers to migrate from on-premises, sometimes highly customized Windchill implementations to next-generation, best-practice SaaS.

PTC clients will be able to revolutionize the way they adopt technology in the dispersed, safe, and agile workplace of the future thanks to the creation of DxP Services, which will elevate their relationship to a whole new level.
The adoption of SaaS in the manufacturing industry is increasing, owing in part to the COVID pandemic. PTC is spending heavily to bring its complete product range to the cloud via its PTC Atlas SaaS Platform to fulfill this rapidly growing market need. With this new partnership, PTC and ITC Infotech will join forces to form a cohesive team focused on developing and supplying the tooling and techniques needed to make the transition to SaaS as painless as possible.
